Themes

The Alarmo allows the user to choose from a variety of themes installed on the system, with the ability to download new themes from the internet.

This page covers some of the details about the themes, how the data is stored, and more.

Overview

Themes on the Alarmo are stored as Shiro Package files, or SHPAC files, which can be easily identified by their .shpac extension.

SHPAC files are simply encrypted ZIP files prefixed with the 4-byte magic value of CIPH plus 4 null bytes and ending with a 256-byte signature for integrity verification.

Within these ZIP files are files and directories that contain audio, images, text, Lua scripts, and JSON files. By modifying these files, it's possible to create a fully custom theme.
